Monarch Riflescope 4-16x42SF Matte Mildot

Monarch Riflescope 4-16x42SF Matte Mildot Description
Offering all the power necessary for long-range varmints but with a big enough field of view for close-quarter big-game hunting, the all-purpose Nikon Monarch 4-16x42SF sets the standard for scope performance. The riflescope offers such features as a one-piece, 1-inch main body tube; a creative Eyebox design with a huge ocular that provides a 4x magnification range and 4 inches of constant eye relief without sacrificing the field of view; a precise mil-dot reticle for accurate targeting; an ultra ClearCoat system for 95 percent light transmission; and fully multicoated, super-high-performance lenses. After the lenses are cut and polished, Nikon coats them with multiple layers of anti-reflective compounds. The compounds serve to boost light transmission, improve contrast (to pull game out of its surroundings), deliver true color rendition and flare-free viewing, and enhance the overall image quality.

In addition, the riflescope is prepared for years of reliable service thanks to its 100-percent waterproof, fogproof, and shockproof housing. The scope is O-ring sealed, oxygen purged, and nitrogen filled to prevent fogging, while the waterproof performance is guaranteed, even with the windage and elevation caps off. Other details include a quick focus eyepiece; a locking side-focus parallax adjustment; interchangeable turret technology with target-style windage and elevation adjustment knobs and caps; enhanced ring spacing that allows you to mount the scope on virtually any rifle; and a unique zoom control with rearward facing numbers. Sunshade adaptable, the riflescope carries Nikon's full lifetime warranty.

This is a great scope for the price.

When I first ordered this scope I thought it was a 30mm main tube and was on the fence wether to keep it or not. Im glad I did it works perfect with a 20 moa base shooting out to a thousand yards with my 300 wsm. Clicks are solid and spot on.

Amazing Clarity..., October 8, 2011 By R. Shaw "DR_NO" (Stafford, Va)

I bought this scope for my own precision shooting @ 100yds and have been more than pleased with its clarity in low light (dusk, dawn) and adding the sunshade in direct sun light has greatly helped with glare.

Please take note, one of my shooting advisers (Dave B.) told me about the Nikon glass and I when I looked through it; I knew that I had opened a can of worms with stepping into the big league of professional shooters.

Great Scope, July 1, 2011 By hiperfind

Typically I buy only USA made optics, but had to grab this one. Love the side focus knob, good clear optics, and came with flip up scope caps! Only bugaboo is close range (<50yds) can be blurry at high magnification, so for tack driving at closer ranges, just dial back the mag a bit. Glad I bought it.

Excellent!

This is an excellent, crystal clear scope. It lets a good deal of light in and the glass is flawless. The price was fantastic compared to other sites that offer the same scope. Highly recomended.

This my third Nikon Monarch rifle scope. These scopes have superior resolution and very good eye relief. In my opinion, you can't find a better value in a quality scope.
